Product Description

108 five-faced Rudraksha beads, strung without metal or embellishment. For those who prefer their practice unadorned — the bead as it comes from the tree, with all its natural texture and weight intact. Used across traditions for japa, meditation, and as a daily wearable.

Why It Matters

The absence of metal keeps this mala electrically neutral — preferred by many practitioners for extended japa or meditation. It's also the most authentic form: rudraksha as it has been worn for millennia, without modern intervention.

Your Sankalpa

For the intention of simplicity. The practice doesn't need embellishment. Neither do you.

About Rudraksha

Rudraksha (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) is the seed of a tree that grows primarily in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal and select regions of Indonesia. Its name means 'Eye of Rudra (Shiva)' in Sanskrit — and it has been referenced in the Shiva Purana, Devi Bhagavata Purana, and Atharva Veda as one of the most potent spiritual tools available to a householder. What makes it distinctive is its natural mukhi lines — the cleft marks running from top to bottom of the seed. These are not carved; they form in the seed as it grows. The number of mukhis is associated in Vedic texts with specific properties and energetic resonances. Modern wearers use rudraksha for its tactile grounding quality, its deep cultural resonance, and the sense of continuity it represents: holding something that has been held for the same purpose for thousands of years.

Care Instructions

Oil once a month with a single drop of sesame or coconut oil, wiping off excess. Keep dry — remove before bathing or swimming. The absence of metal caps means this mala is slightly more forgiving in humid conditions, but prolonged water exposure should still be avoided. Store in the box provided.
