Product Description

A single seven-faced Rudraksha bead — the Saptamukhi — associated in Vedic tradition with Mahalakshmi and the principle of flow. Used for those navigating transitions, creative blocks, or periods of sustained effort. For daily wear.

Why It Matters

The 7-Mukhi is rarer than the Panchmukhi and carries a more specific energetic function — traditionally recommended for those in creative or entrepreneurial work, or those going through significant life transitions. It's a considered choice, not a generic one.

Your Sankalpa

For the intention of flow. That what you're building finds its form.

About Rudraksha

Rudraksha (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) is the seed of a tree that grows primarily in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal and select regions of Indonesia. Its name means 'Eye of Rudra (Shiva)' in Sanskrit — and it has been referenced in the Shiva Purana, Devi Bhagavata Purana, and Atharva Veda as one of the most potent spiritual tools available to a householder. What makes it distinctive is its natural mukhi lines — the cleft marks running from top to bottom of the seed. These are not carved; they form in the seed as it grows. The number of mukhis is associated in Vedic texts with specific properties and energetic resonances. Modern wearers use rudraksha for its tactile grounding quality, its deep cultural resonance, and the sense of continuity it represents: holding something that has been held for the same purpose for thousands of years.

Care Instructions

Keep dry. Remove before bathing or swimming. Occasionally apply a very small amount of sesame oil to the bead surface with a cotton swab and wipe clean — this prevents cracking and maintains lustre.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, meaningfully so. 5-Mukhi beads are the most common rudraksha variety. 7-Mukhi beads are less common, and at equivalent size and quality, cost more. This is why the pendant is priced differently.

The Panchmukhi (5-face) is considered universal and balancing and is suitable for everyone. The Saptamukhi (7-face) is more specific: traditionally associated with Mahalakshmi and the principle of abundance and flow. It is recommended particularly for those in creative, entrepreneurial, or high-effort work, or those navigating major life transitions.

No initiation is required. A simple intention-setting practice for those who want to begin with focus - but the bead is considered naturally potent without it.

Yes, absolutely. There are no restrictions. The Panchmukhi in particular is specifically described in the Shiva Purana as universally beneficial - for all people, all ages, all backgrounds.
